Josefa Ros Velasco

Postdoctoral Researcher Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (UNA4CAREER) at the Complutense University of Madrid. She received her PhD Laude in Philosophy (2017). Her doctoral thesis, entitled "Boredom as selective pressure in Hans Blumenberg," received the Extraordinary Doctorate Award (2016-2017). At the University of Murcia she obtained her Master's Degree in Contemporary Thinking and its Historical Premises (2011) and Master's Degree in Teacher Training (2012), as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy (2010) and a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Public Relations (2011). She has been a researcher and Assistant Professor in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Harvard University, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Royal Complutense College at Harvard (2017-2019). Her research focuses on the critical study of medical practices in relation to boredom-related disorders. She is the author of books such as Feminism. Past, Present, and Future Perspectives (Nova Science, 2017); Contemporary Approaches in Philosophical and Humanistic Thought (Aracne, 2017); Hans Blumenberg. Literature, Aesthetics and Nihilism (Trotta, 2016); and Boredom is in your mind (Springer, 2019).
